NJ Transit to add trains
advertisement
On Oct. 26, New Jersey Transit plans to adjust its service schedule, adding 10 trains and 2,000 seats to relieve crowding.
The agency uses a train-by-train load-factor analysis to determine service efficiency. When average ridership reaches 95 percent of seat capacity, NJ Transit makes adjustments to the crowded trains.
Since May 2002, the agency has added 50 weekday and 68 weekend trains, and more than 20,000 seats.
