Beginning Oct. 28, New Jersey Transit passengers will have access to 126 new weekday trains on the Pascack Valley Line after the agency opens three passing sidings along the single-track corridor.
NJ Transit will offer 16 new weekday trains and provide weekend service on the line for the first time. The agency began constructing the sidings in spring 2005.
MTA Metro-North Railroad owns the line and provides operating support for service to the three New York stations.
