NYC Transit purchases axle-balancing system

New York City Transit recently purchased three Weighwell PTW systems from Gerhart Systems & Controls for use in its maintenance shops.
The systems are designed to reduce wheel, bearing and axle box wear by enabling workers to balance axles side to side.
