NYC Transit seals deal to keep AMS processing rule-violation paperwork

Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s New York City Transit Nov. 5 awarded American Management Systems Inc. (AMS) a five-year, $18 million contract to continue operating the agency’s Transit Adjudication Bureau (TAB).
TAB annually processes an average of 200,0000 Notices of Violation that New York Police Department officers serve violator’s of the agency’s "Rule’s of Conduct."
AMS operates TAB’s six major units including inquiry, payment processing, hearing support, collections, enforcement and administration.
NYC Transit has been contracting this service with AMS since 1985; the current contract includes a five-year renewal option.
