New Jersey gears up for annual state transportation conference

The 33rd annual NJ State Transportation Conference and Expo will be held May 13-15 at the Tropicana Casino Conference Center in Atlantic City.
Featuring more than 50 sessions, an exposition with more than 100 booths, social activities and a grand reception, the event will address goods movement (railroad, truck and maritime), commuter and light rail, roads, bridges, buses, bicycle and pedestrian travel, car and vanpooling, traffic calming, safety, security, alternate fuels planning, funding, operations and administration. Last year, more than 1,000 people from 22 the United States and Canada attended the event.
Conference sponsors include the New Jersey Department of Transportation, New Jersey Transit, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, National Transit Institute, New Jersey's three Metropolitan Planning Organizations, NJ County Transportation Officials Association and NJ Council on Community & Special Transportation.
