The New Mexico Department of Transportation and Mid-Region Council of Governments recently broke ground on a new Rail Runner station at Rio Bravo in Albuquerque’s south valley.

Scheduled to open in April, the commuter-rail station will serve the Albuquerque International Sunport and Mesa del Sol, a new community being developed.

The agencies launched Rail Runner service in July between Albuquerque and Bernalillo. Last month, they added Rail Runner service between Albuquerque and Los Lunas.
