advertisement
Last week, New Mexico and local transportation officials broke ground on a new Rail Runner Express station in Isleta Pueblo.
During the next few weeks, the Mid-Region Council of Governments and New Mexico Department of Transportation, which own and operate the commuter-rail service, will launch construction on the facility, which is scheduled to open in late fall.
Rail Runner Express currently carries about 2,500 passengers daily along its 50-mile corridor between Belen and Bernalillo. Construction is under way to extend service north to Santa Fe by year’s end.
