The Regional Transportation District of Denver’s (RTD) board has unanimously approved the contract of new General Manager Phil Washington. The three-year pact doesn’t contain any of the extra compensation measures that were included in former General Manager Cal Marsella’s contract, according to a prepared statement.
The contract compensates Washington a total of $306,449, which includes a base salary of $275,000, plus the fringe benefits paid to all RTD salaried employees, according to the agency.
Washington’s compensation will amount to 57 percent of the previous GM’s 2009 compensation of $533,471.
