New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) recently awarded a three-year contract to architectural and engineering firm HDR Inc. to provide transportation planning services.
HDR will conduct market research to identify priorities and strategies for business development, capital improvements, service planning and policy-making decisions. The studies will help MTA determine ways to lower costs and improve customer service.
The firm also will conduct origin and destination surveys, environmental and economic impact studies, and analyses of future transportation needs and services.
