Qualifying projects include transit facility improvements at Metra’s Laraway Road Station, which would receive $520,000, and Chicago Department of Transportation’s State/Lake-Loop El Station, $480,000.

Commuter parking lots at the following Metra stations also qualify:

• Mokena, $340,000;

• Hazel Crest, $242,000;

• Olympia Fields, $2.2 million;

• Glenview, $800,000;

• Mont Clare, $260,000;

• Elmhurst, $640,000;

• Orland Park, $600,000; and

• Dee Road; $600,000.

Other approved projects include those for bikes, trails, pedestrian facilities and bottleneck eliminations.

About $70 million is expected to be available for fiscal-year 2003 CMAQ projects.
