The Orange County Transportation Authority, in partnership with Metrolink and the city of Anaheim, California, is beginning work this month on long-awaited improvements to the Metrolink station at Anaheim Canyon.

The project will include:

  • a second passenger platform;
  • an extension of the existing passenger platform;
  • a new 3,400-foot second track;
  • improvements to grade crossings at La Palma and Tustin avenues; and
  • new benches, shade structures and ticket vending machines.

Scheduled for completion in 2023, the work is estimated to cost $30 million and will be covered by federal funds and local dollars from Orange County's voter-approved Measure M sales tax for transportation improvements.
