The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) will host a public hearing June 9 on its proposed $1.1 billion budget for fiscal-year 2015.Nearly 40 percent of the budget is allocated for transit service. Major initiatives include sustaining rail and bus and service levels, closing out Measure M1, continuing to deliver Measure M2 improvements and operating the 91 Express Lanes, OCTA officials said in a press release.Measure M1 and M2 refer to Measure M, the California county's half-cent sales tax for transportation, which OCTA administers.
