The Orange County Transportation Authority recently contracted Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) to serve as project manager for Metrolink’s service expansion program.

Metrolink plans to improve track and stations, and obtain rolling stock to increase Orange County commuter-rail service. Trains will operate every 30 minutes, seven days a week from Laguna Niquel/Mission Viejo to Fullerton and, eventually, Los Angeles.

PB will provide track alignment design, operational analysis, right-of-way coordination and project management services.

The project’s first phase is scheduled to be complete in 2009.
