The Port Authority Trans-Hudson’s (PATH) average weekday ridership remains below pre-pandemic levels, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

For the week of May 17, PATH's ridership was down by 72% compared with ridership levels during the same pre-COVID period in May 2019, the port authority reported last week.

PATH’s average weekday ridership for that week reached 81,777, the highest since the second week of March 2020.

Meanwhile, the authority's April cargo volume set a record for the ninth month. Volume totaled 712,799 20-foot equivalent units. PATH ridership remained down in April.
