The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) announced last week that November 2021 ridership on Port Authority-Trans Hudson (PATH) trains remained at about 50% of November 2019’s level.

PATH logged 3.3 million riders in November, about half of its total ridership in November 2019. Ridership was essentially flat compared with October 2021 levels, PANYNJ officials said in a press release.

Meanwhile, the Port of New York and New Jersey handled 759,390 20-foot equivalent units in November 2021, the 16th consecutive month the port set a cargo record.

November cargo volume was up nearly 27% from November 2019's mark. However, cargo activity was down 4.7% compared to volume in October 2021, when the port hit an all-time monthly high.
