The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)is developing a long-range Pennsylvania Mobility Plan to outline goals, objectives and strategies to improve the commonwealth’s transportation system, and prioritize needed transportation investments.
The plan will focus on alternatives to and connections among transportation modes, such as rail, highway and air. The plan also will outline ways to make the most of limited funds.
PennDOT will conduct focus-group discussions, interviews and surveys to gather public input on the commonwealth’s transportation system.
The plan is expected to be complete in summer 2006.
