advertisement
Central Phoenix/East Valley Light Rail Transit has selected HDR Inc. to complete final engineering design services for Line Section 5.
HDR would design civil, structural, electrical and architectural improvements for the line, with an estimated cost of $50 million. Construction on the new line’s first 5.3-mile segment — from downtown Phoenix to downtown Tempe — is scheduled to begin next year and be completed in December 2006.
The first segment would include roadway, intersection, utility and drainage improvements, and modifications to two bridges.
