Next month, Progressive Railroading plans to launch HSRupdates.com, a new Web site devoted to high-speed rail (HSR).
To go live on Sept. 8, the site will feature a state-by-state listing of near- and long-term HSR plans, as well as projects and proposals, including any work the states have completed to date.
The site also will include profiles on each of the 10 federally designated HSR corridors, and HSR-related news, resources, monthly features and blogs. HSRupdates.com will be updated regularly to provide users access to current and comprehensive information.
“HSRupdates will be the one Web site the industry can visit to find the most high speed rail-related information,” said Progressive Railroading Associate Editor Angela Cotey. “It will serve as a clearinghouse for vital, current high-speed rail information from all states that have high-speed rail plans in place.”
Aimed at rail industry suppliers, contractors and engineering firms, as well as state DOTs, transit agencies, freight railroads, rail associations and other industry stakeholders, HSRupdates.com will have free and paid content. Subscribers will pay $199 per year to obtain access to news, the state-by-state listings, corridor profiles, monthly informational highlights and an exclusive Webcast on the current state of the HSR stimulus funding package.
