On March 31, Caltrain will hold a community meeting to review the San Bruno grade separation project.
The $165 million project calls for elevating tracks above San Bruno, San Mateo and Angus avenues, and replacing a station with a new elevated station between San Bruno and San Mateo avenues. Caltrain also plans to build three pedestrian underpasses in the area.
The project will improve safety and reduce traffic congestion in the area, Caltrain officials said in a prepared statement.
Preliminary construction work on an underground culvert is expected to begin in May. Caltrain plans to build temporary tracks next winter and begin constructing the grade separation in spring 2011.
