RRDC teams up with German operator, British railway investor to operate Berlin intercity trains

Railroad Development Corp. (RDC) recently formed a joint venture with Locomore Rail GmbH & Co. and Michael Schabas to operate intercity rail services in Berlin.
The Hamburg Ko In Express GmbH joint venture plans to begin operating the services between Hamburg and Ko In (Cologne) on Aug. 15, 2010. Trains will operate three times daily in each direction and offer several classes of service.
Pittsburgh-based RDC owns Iowa Interstate Railroad Ltd. and retains rail interests in Argentina, Brazil, Guatemala and Peru; Locomore Rail is a railroad operator that focuses on Berlin intercity services; and Michael Schabas is a London-based railway investor.
