The Regional Transportation District of Denver (RTD) last week launched a rider survey to determine what future services the agency should provide with its limited resources due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
RTD officials will incorporate the public input gathered from the survey, along with data and budget information, into a system optimization plan.
The survey will help the agency develop a short-term plan to be implemented in 2021 and a long-term plan to identify strategies for future transit needs through 2050, RTD officials said in a press release.
“Like many public and private agencies, RTD is facing funding shortfalls and budget constraints that will affect how services are provided in the future,” said Bill Sirois, RTD senior manager of transit-oriented communities.
The survey will be available through July 24, and results will be released in early August.
