RTD opens B Line commuter-rail route
The Regional Transportation District of Denver (RTD) today will hold a grand opening ceremony for its B Line commuter-rail route.
The event will include remarks from RTD General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Dave Genova and elected officials.
The 6-mile line runs from the center of Westminster, Colo., to Denver's Union Station Transit Center, where riders can connect to the C, E, and W light-rail lines, or the new University of Colorado A Line to Denver International Airport. Passengers also can connect to local and regional buses at the station.
Following the ceremony, RTD will offer free rides to the public on the B Line. Tomorrow, the line will open for its first day of revenue service.
