The Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad (RBMN) passenger department has acquired several new pieces of rolling stock in anticipation of a busy 2025 excursion season, railroad officials announced this week.
Three former Delaware Lackawanna & Western coaches, a Pennsylvania Railroad commuter coach, a dining car and a generator car were added to the fleet, they said in a press release.
The new equipment will be on display briefly at the railroad's Nesquehoning Campus before they are overhauled and repainted. The passenger railroad will begin excursions March 15.
Located in Pennsylvania, the railroad company handles freight and operates steam- and diesel-powered passenger excursions.
