Ninety-one percent of riders say they would recommend to others the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system, according to the agency’s recent customer satisfaction survey.
However, the survey of more than 3,700 riders, which was conducted in September, showed an overall 87 percent “general satisfaction” with the service, down from 89 percent in 2010. The survey has a margin of error of +/- 1.6 percent, DART officials said in a prepared statement.
In addition, 92 percent of the respondents found information they needed on DART.org; 90 percent believed schedules are easy to read; and 92 percent said trains are on time.
While 85 percent of riders said they feel safe on many parts of the system, DART is exploring ways to improve their sense of security, agency officials said. In addition to plans to increase police presence, the agency is installing more closed-circuit cameras at stations, a project to be completed this year.
