SFRTA, MDT launch regional monthly pass

Yesterday, the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) and Miami-Dade Transit (MDT) announced plans to introduce a new regional monthly fare pass Oct. 1.
Loaded on an “Easy Card,” the pass will enable riders to more easily transfer between Tri-Rail and MDT’s Metrorail and bus systems. The pass will cost $140 per month.
“The implementation of the Tri-Rail/MDT regional monthly pass is the first step toward a seamless, fully integrated transit system for the people of south Florida,” said SFRTA Chairwoman Kristin Jacobs in a prepared statement.
