SFRTA honored for financial reporting excellence

The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA), which operates Tri-Rail, was recently honored by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for excellence in financial reporting and budgeting.

The authority received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award and the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Award for fiscal-year 2020-2021, SFRTA officials said in a press release.

This is the 10th consecutive year SFRTA has received the budgeting award and the 21st consecutive year it has been recognized for its annual comprehensive financial report. The achievements highlight SFRTA’s commitment to “meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting and financial reporting,” SFRTA officials said.
