San Diego Metropolitan Transit Development Board (MTDB) recently awarded Mincom Ltd. a $3 million contract to supply its Mincom Ellipse integrated software for MTDB’s bus company and San Diego Trolley Inc.



The financial, human resources, maintenance and materials-management software also is designed to streamline the procurement process by accessing online vendor catalogs.



Although there are no set plans or timetable in place, MTDB and Mincom also have been discussing expanding the modular system to include financial management, says Wes Graf, the head of Mincom’s transportation industry business unit.



Mincom officials expect to launch the bus and trolley systems next summer.
