The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (SCVTA) will advance its draft transit service plan for 2021 to the agency’s board following closure of public comments earlier this fall.
The plan calls for gradual service increases during the COVID-19 pandemic, increasing service from 74% to 80% starting in February 2021.
The recommended plan also includes a potential $27 million reduction in annual operating costs compared to the transit service plan launched in December 2019, SCVTA officials said in a press release.
SCVTA committees now are reviewing the draft, which will be presented to the board Dec. 3. If approved, the plan will take effect Feb. 8, 2021.
