On Oct. 4, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) launched the Commuter Express, a non-stop, express light-rail service.
The service adds six peak-hour trips from south San Jose, through downtown, to north San Jose, Calif. Commuter Express is designed to provide additional convenience and reduced travel times for the same fare as existing light-rail service, according to VTA.
In addition, the new service offers free onboard WiFi connections.
