Santa Clara VTA proposes FY2010 budget, fare hikes

Next month, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will hold six public meetings to review and obtain input on the Fiscal Year 2010/2011 proposed budget and fare increases.

The agency has proposed raising base cash fares from $1.75 to $2; day passes, from $5 to $6; and monthly passes, from $61.25 to $70.
