Santa Clara VTA's board sports new officers, member

Margaret Abe-Koga and Ken Yeager have been appointed chairperson and vice chairperson, respectively, of the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority's board for 2011.
A Mountain View City Council member, Abe-Koga most recently was the board's vice chair and served on the VTA Policy Advisory Committee, which she chaired in 2009.
A Santa Clara County Board supervisor, Yeager holds the Santa Clara County seat for the Silicon Valley Rapid Transit Corridor/Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Warm Springs Policy Advisory Board and the MTC seat on the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers (Caltrain) Board.
Meanwhile, San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed has appointed Xavier Campos to the VTA board. Campos is a first-term member of the San Jose City Council.
