Sound Transit is seeking public comments on the draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) for the West Seattle and Ballard Link Extensions project through April 28.

The West Seattle Link Extension would add nearly 5 miles of track and four stations serving SODO, Delridge, Avalon and Alaska Junction, Washington.

The Ballard Link Extension would add just over 7 miles of track and nine stations along with a 3.3-mile, rail-only tunnel between Chinatown-International District, South Lake Union and Seattle Center/Uptown. Stations would serve Chinatown-International District, Midtown, Westlake, Denny, South Lake Union, Seattle Center, Smith Cove, Interbay and Ballard.

Virtual public meetings will be held March 15, 22, 24 and 30. A virtual open house also is available so members of the public can review project materials and submit responses on the DEIS.
