Sound Transit set an annual ridership record last year, posting a passenger gain of more than 8 percent compared with 2012, agency officials announced last week.The agency recorded an all-time-high 30.3 million boardings on trains and buses in 2013, with average weekday boardings topping 101,000. Central Link light-rail ridership grew 11 percent to 9.7 million boardings."Light-rail ridership has seen double-digit increases in every year of operation," said Sound Transit Chair and King County Executive Dow Constantine in a press release.Ridership on the Sounder commuter-rail service rose 8 percent to 3 million boardings.
