Sound Transit to solicit public comments on proposed service changes

Sound Transit is soliciting public input on its proposed service changes for 2013, including a plan to add a tenth Sounder round-trip train between Lakewood and Seattle in September 2013.

The proposed changes will take effect during regularly scheduled service changes in June and September 2013, Sound Transit officials said in a prepared statement.

They plan to host four open houses later this month and in early November to further explain and accept comments on the proposed changes in the draft 2013 Service Implementation Plan.

The board will consider the public input when it reviews the plan during the agency's budget development process in December.
