Sound Transit's Tacoma Link marks another project milestone
advertisement
Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority (Sound Transit) plans to inch closer toward implementing Tacoma Link light rail mid-October by opening Phase II of the Tacoma Dome Station parking garage and celebrating the line’s ceremonial construction start.
Tacoma Dome Station provides access to local and regional bus services, Sounder commuter rail trains and Link downtown connector free bus service during morning and evening rush hours.
Sound Transit anticipates that Tacoma Link light rail will connect the facility with four other stations when complete. Actual construction would begin early next year; service, in late 2002.
