South Florida RTA elects chairman, vice chair

The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority’s board recently elected Miami-Dade County Commissioner Bruno Barreiro as chairman — Barreiro’s fourth stint as the board's chair.

The board also elected Broward County Commissioner Kristin Jacobs vice chair.

Barreiro and Jacobs will serve one-year terms, which began July 1.
