Metro Transit in St. Louis yesterday debuted its new Metro On The Go mobile application, which will use real-time data and location services to assist riders in planning trips and determining arrival times. The app will provide information on MetroLink, the area's 46-mile light-rail system, as well as the system's MetroBus fleet. Riders also will be able to look up schedules for MetroLink, save recent trips, check rider alerts and scope out the nearest stops and transit options using location service."We’re always looking at ways to provide more resources for our riders," said Ray Friem, Metro's chief operating officer of transit services.Metro On The Go can be downloaded for free from the App Store or the Google Play Store, and it's compatible on iOS and Android devices.
