The T seeks public opinion on environmental impact document for TEX Rail

The Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T) is accepting public comments on the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the TEX Rail project through June 20, agency officials announced yesterday.

The proposed commuter-rail line would transport riders from Fort Worth to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The FEIS represents the final evaluation of the project's social, economic and environmental impacts. The document also details changes to the project since the draft EIS and subsequent Environmental Assessment were completed, The T officials said in a press release.

The FEIS is available for public review at 35 locations in Tarrant County, Texas, as well as online at www.TEXRail.com. After the public comment period, responses will be incorporated into the Record of Decision document. Upon federal approval of that document, the Federal Transit Administration would allow The T to move forward with the project.
