Track work to temporarily suspend Amtrak's Sunset Limited service
advertisement
Beginning March 12, service on Trains #1 and #2 of Amtrak’s Sunset Limited New Orleans-to-Orlando leg will be temporarily suspended while CSX Transportation completes track maintenance work.
Closing the track enables the railroad to complete the work as quickly as possible and minimize service disruptions, according to a prepared statement. The train will operate on its normal Los Angeles-to-New Orleans schedule.
The Sunset Limited will resume its normal service with an eastbound departure from Los Angeles March 19 and a westbound departure from Orlando March 23.
