TransLink will replace aging expansion joints along the SkyTrain tracks of the SkyBridge, which serves as a connection for Expo Line service between New Westminster and Surrey, British Columbia.

The bridge's expansion joints have not been replaced since their original construction and have reached the end of their useful lives, TransLink officials said in a news release. The project is part of the agency's maintenance and upgrade program.

The Expo Line will be single-tracked between the Scott Road and Columbia stations July 31-Aug. 7, and between Scott Road and New Westminster stations Aug. 14-21.

Trains will cross two at a time in each direction, providing 15-minute service during peak periods. At all other times, one train will cross in each direction, providing 12-minute service.
