On Nov. 1, TransLink marked the 15th anniversary of its West Coast Express commuter-rail service.

West Coast Express trains operate on a 41-mile line between Mission and downtown Vancouver, British Columbia.

Since 1995, the service’s average daily ridership has doubled to 10,500. On Oct. 25, West Coast Express registered its 30 millionth rider. In addition, TransLink earlier his year began operating seven new rail cars on the line.

On weekends, buses serve riders along the West Coast Express route via a TrainBus service.
