This week, the Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet) marked one year of service on its MAX Green Line. The line has registered 6.1 million trips taken during its first year.

Weekday ridership averaged 19,000 trips per day, reaching a high mark of 20,700 in July. Weekend ridership averaged 24,300, with a high mark of 29,400 in June.

The 8.3-mile, $575.7 million Green Line is the agency’s fifth MAX light-rail line to be built. The line added a new alignment in downtown Portland along the Portland Transit Mall and new tracks between Gateway Transit Center and Clackamas Town Center.
