Union Pacific Railroad recently named Arnold Robinson superintendent of commuter operations in Chicago to succeed Greg Larson, who is retiring.

Most recently director of transportation services, Robinson will be responsible for the daily operation of about 200 Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corp. (Metra) trains.

Since launching his railroad career in 1979 with the Chicago & North Western, he has held a number of transportation positions in and around Chicago.
