The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) has marked a project milestone: The West Valley TRAX line is one-third complete.
UTA broke ground on the light-rail project one year ago. The five-mile, four-station line will extend from the 2100 South TRAX station in South Salt Lake to West Valley's future intermodal center. The corridor will connect residential, shopping, employment and entertainment venues in West Valley, Utah's second-largest municipality. UTA expects to launch service on the line by 2013.
