UTU-represented engineers, conductors approve pact with northern Indiana agency

Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) workers represented by the United Transportation Union recently approved a new four-year contract.

Extending through Dec. 31, 2011, the pact covers 90 locomotive engineers, conductors and collectors. The agency and union didn’t disclose contract details.

NICTD operates the South Shore commuter-rail line between northern Indiana and Chicago.
