Titled "We Move You," the plan calls for mobility solutions and quality-of-life improvements as key parts of the transit agency's long-term strategy, UTA officials said in a press release.
The plan lists several goals that agency officials want to achieve by 2030. They include:
Seventy percent of Utah's population will live within a half-mile of UTA service;
UTA will reduce its carbon footprint from vehicles and facilities by 25%;
UTA will be recognized statewide for its economic value and positive returns; and
the agency will receive industry recognition for operating a "dynamic and forward-thinking public enterprise."
"In collaboration with the community, UTA’s leadership is setting a course for a stronger economy, a cleaner environment, increased mobility, greater access to opportunity and a better quality of life," said Chair Carlton Christensen.
