Wabtec Corp. subsidiary MotivePower Inc. has delivered the first of 11 locomotives to the Utah Transit Authority (UTA), which will use the power on its future commuter-rail line. The locomotives will pull up to 10 passenger cars.
Scheduled to open in mid-2008, UTA’s 44-mile FrontRunner commuter-rail line will run from Salt Lake City’s intermodal hub to Weber County.
