VIA Rail considers adding trains in Ontario

VIA Rail Canada Inc. recently proposed increasing service in Ontario.

The passenger railroad would provide more travel options for passengers traveling west of Kitchener by adding eastbound and westbound trains.

VIA Rail plans to extend service on a train currently ending in Kitchener to London, and extend service on two trains to Sarnia along the North main line with stops in St. Mary’s Stratford, Kitchener, Guelph and Toronto.

In June, VIA Rail also plans to add a Friday and Saturday train.
