VIA Rail provides discounted fares for military personnel, veterans

VIA Rail Canada Inc. recently announced it will provide a 25 percent discount on fares for military personnel, veterans and their families.
The offer applies to all classes of VIA Rail service, including economy, business and sleeper fares. Military personnel and veterans who qualify can be accompanied by up to five additional family members.
The offer “underscores the contributions members of Canada’s military and its veterans have made to our country since its earliest days,” said VIA Rail President and Chief Executive Officer Marc Laliberté in a prepared statement.
