VIA Rail teams up with Communauto, VRTUCAR to provide car-sharing services

VIA Rail Canada Inc., Communauto and VRTUCAR recently launched a new car-sharing program for passengers traveling between Montreal and Ottawa.
VIA Rail passengers can register online with Communauto or VRTUCAR to purchase a train ticket and reserve a vehicle. At the end of their train ride, passengers can use a vehicle located at the station or any other Communauto or VRTUCAR point of service.
VIA Rail has added a new car-sharing area at its Ottawa station.
Since September, the railroad has been offering the service with Communauto between Montreal and Quebec City.
